On September 21, 2014, at the Estoril Casino, in the Preto e Prata Hall, the VERA International Prize for the Arts was awarded. 17 artists from different countries, including: Vladimir Surovtsev.., Vasily Nesterenko, TNK ART gallery, Anna Margulis, P.M. Tretyakov Charitable Foundation from Russia, Sandra Baia, Luis Noronha da Costa, Diago Navarro, Luis Bigotte, António Homem Cardoso -Portugalia, Luis Bigotte, António Homem Cardoso -Portugalia.Sandra Baia, Luis Noronha da Costa, Diago Navarro, Luis Bigotte, António Homem Cardoso from Portugal, Nelson Cardoso from Brazil, Sakit Mammadov, Ulvia Gamzaeva from Azerbaijan, Emilia Marinescu from Romania, Alisher Narzullaev from Uzbekistan, Matthias Contzen from Germany, Marco Kabenda from Angola became laureates of the VERA Art Prize. The honorary diploma and “VERA” award, for selfless and selfless service to art, was awarded to the entrepreneur, art collector, José Manuel Berardo. The Russian Academy of Arts has awarded Andrei Alexandrovich Kiselev medal, golden sign, diploma and awarded the title of honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts for services and great personal contribution to the development and strengthening of the Russian State. The award was presented by Salakhov Tair Teymurovich, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of the USSR, Azerbaijan and Russia, Hero of Socialist Labor, Laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR, Azerbaijan and Russia, Chairman of the International Jury of the Festival. Portuguese artists graced the gala concert and a buffet was organized. More than 1,000 people were in attendance. To popularize the festival and information about the festival participants, a 182-page festival catalog was published and presented to each participant. This project fulfills a great and important task – it opens talents and promotes the expansion of cultural dialog of masters of art, displays the whole palette of world art, supports talented emerging artists, reveals new names in contemporary world art. The festival contributes to the aesthetic education of young people, spreading the ideology of the culture of peace among the general public and achieving interethnic harmony. The festival is a bright and dynamically developing cultural project, which has a cultural impact on representatives of scientific, creative and business elite of different countries of the world and its holding is of great importance for the preservation of cultural heritage, development of cultural dialog between countries and strengthening of friendship between peoples.
