The Second Moscow International Festival of Arts opened its doors on March 7, 2008 and finished its work on March 11 in the Central Exhibition Hall “Manezh”.

The grand presentation of the Arts Award, the bronze statuette “Faith” – was held on March 13, 2008.

The idea of the Festival is to bring the art of different countries and peoples closer, to present original works reflecting the color and national traditions, to show the whole palette of world art, to gather all trends and directions of modern culture in one exhibition space. e

The aim of the Festival is to support talented artists – not only famous masters, but also young emerging artists; to discover new names in contemporary art.

The main difference between the Second Festival and the previous one is the increase in the scale of the event. The number of represented countries of near and far abroad, as well as regions of Russia will increase significantly. Therefore, two floors of the Manege have been allocated for the Second Festival. The number of nominations will also increase. At the last festival there were 14 of them, and in 2008 there will be 21 nominations. The winners of the Festival will have the opportunity to present their works at exhibitions in France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, Latin America, Egypt and Cyprus.
