VERA Art Award Ceremony at the Fourth Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”
On May 26, 2010 in the Great Hall of the Central House of Writers the solemn ceremony of awarding the prize in the field of art “VERA” took place, which traditionally marked the winners of the IV Moscow International Festival “Traditions and Modernity”, which took place on May 20-24 in the Crocus Expo IEC. 18 awards were given in 6 categories: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, applied art and museum work.

– Budraitis Juozas Budraitis, cultural counselor of the Lithuanian Embassy in the Russian Federation;
– Svetlana Vasilieva – President of Russian Teddy Style Company;
– Olga Borisovna Yesipovskaya – Special Projects Advisor to the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Sergey Mironov;
– Tatyana Zelyukina, Candidate of Art History, Keeper of the Nationalities Heritage Fund of the State Tretyakov Gallery;
– Tatiana Borisovna Kamysheva – Deputy Head of the Department of Culture of Rossotrudnichestvo;
– Viktor Semenovich Karpov – President of the International Art Fund;
– Vera Kiseleva – organizer of the annual festival “Traditions and Modernity”, president of the Moscow Public Foundation for Support of Culture and Development of Contemporary Art;
– Kovalchuk Yulia is a singer;
– Kroll Anatoly Osherovich – People’s Artist of Russia, jazz conductor, pianist, composer;
– Marts Lyudmila Viktorovna, Head of the Department of sculpture of the twentieth-early. XXI century at the State Tretyakov Gallery, member of the correspondent of the Russian Academy of Arts;

– Polad Bulbuloglu – Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Russia;
– Salakhov Tair Teymurovich, People’s Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan, winner of the State Prizes of the USSR and Azerbaijan;
– Shinkaruk Vyacheslav Evgenyevich – Head of the information service of the TV channel “Doverie”.
The awards and prizes of the Festival recognize not only talented artists, but also sponsors and patrons, prominent political and public figures who have contributed to the development and support of contemporary culture. Thus, the “VERA” prize was awarded to Sergey Mironov, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, for the development and support of culture in Russia and for his invaluable contribution to the organization and holding of the Fourth Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”.
In turn, Mr. S.M. Mironov established special prizes “For selfless work to find and support talented artists from Russia and abroad, for contribution to art and work for the benefit of society”, which were presented during the ceremony to the organizer of the Festival, President of the Moscow Public Foundation for Support of Culture and Development of Contemporary Art V.N. Kiseleva and Chairman of the International Jury T.T. Salakhov by Special Advisor to the Chairman of the Federation Council O.B. Yesipovskaya. Esipovskaya.
Dmitry Kharatyan, a famous actor, People’s Artist of Russia, and young Maria Kiseleva (creative center “Ekol”) were the hosts of the VERA award ceremony. The ceremony was accompanied by performances by notable performers such as: The Akademik-Band orchestra conducted by Anatoly Kroll, pianist Oleg Kroll, singers Yuliana Rogacheva, Olga Sinyayeva, Armine Sargsyan, guitarist Alexei Kuznetsov, Russian-American pianist and composer Valery Grokhovsky, singers Yulia Kovalchuk and Elena Terleyeva. A distinctive feature of the ceremony was a charity event held within its framework, timed to coincide with the Children’s Day, in favor of children from orphanages, boarding schools and children with disabilities. All children present at the ceremony received gifts and special prizes from the partners of the campaign: OOO NHP “Poteshnyi Promysel”, OAO “Zvezda”, OOO “Union of Toy Producers”, IE “Tarasov”, OOO “Smolensk Toys”, Toy Factory “Volshebniy Mir”.
The children’s ensemble “Neposedy”, creative teams of the boarding school No. 49 named after A.N. Gorky, and the children’s ensemble “Neposedy” performed with their musical congratulations. G.I. Rossolimo, Orthodox school “Image”, school №446 with advanced study of ecology.
