A press conference on the occasion of the XIV Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity” was held in Moscow

On February 26, 2025, the Rossiya Segodnya news agency held a press conference covering the opening of the XIV Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”. The festival will be held in three prestigious locations: Gostiny Dvor, Manezh Central Exhibition Center and ART-SPACE International Exhibition Complex.

The journalists were addressed by: A.S. Alimov, Director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia; E.G. Torubarova, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo); V.N. Kiseleva, Head of the Moscow Public Foundation for Support of Culture and Development of Contemporary Art; N.N. Belokhvostikova, Soviet and Russian film actress, People’s Actress of the RSFSR; N.N. Belokhvostikova, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences; and N.N. Kisheleva, Head of the Moscow Public Foundation for Support of Culture and Development of Contemporary Art.

It was emphasized that the festival’s mission is to preserve the world cultural heritage, strengthen international relations and cooperation through art free from geopolitical differences. The festival is designed to demonstrate the full versatility of world art, rejecting censorship and preserving the cultural codes of the participants, presenting new trends and directions of contemporary culture in a single exhibition space.

The speakers unanimously supported the initiative of the Foundation to involve representatives of the American continent and European countries. A.S. Alimov and E.G. Torubarova expressed their readiness to help inform foreign artists, seeing in this an opportunity to build bridges of mutual understanding and demonstrate Russia’s openness to cultural exchange.

The participants of the press conference shared their impressions of previous festivals, praising their contribution to the development of both Russian and international art. The Moscow International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”, held since 2007, united more than 6990 galleries and artists from more than 60 countries and 72 regions of Russia, 371 Russian and foreign participants were awarded the “VERA” prize. N.N. Belokhvostikova and A.V. Melnikov emphasized the role of the Festival in supporting Russian artists, Russian culture and society as a whole. It was noted that participation in the Festival is a good occasion for each artist to make himself known to the whole world, to be listed in the Festival catalog and a chance to become a laureate of the international award in the field of arts “VERA”, which is awarded by an international competent and independent jury in ten nominations.

This is a colorful and unforgettable event that will become a decoration of Moscow in the early summer of 2025. Patrons, sponsors, art institutions and all those who are in tune with the theme of art are invited to cooperate.
