Vera Kiseleva, the organizer of the International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”, Ekaterina Torubarova, Head of the Department of Public Diplomacy of Rossotrudnichestvo, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Security and Interaction with the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Georgy Volkov, academician told about the preparations for the festival, its program, participants, stages of events and the award of the international prize in the field of art “Vera”. Russian Academy of Arts (RAH), People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, sculptor Vladimir Surovtsev and Vice-President of the RAH Konstantin Khudyakov.
The last festival “Traditions and Modernity” was held in 2017. A lot has changed since then, both in the art environment and in geopolitics. The XIII festival “Traditions and Modernity” has refocused on cooperation with new regions and countries. The core of the festival will be participants from the BRICS countries, and in general, representatives of 50-60 countries are planned to participate in the festival!
“Traditions and Modernity” promotes the construction of “cultural bridges” between the countries and the development of cultural diplomacy. This was stated by Ekaterina Torubarova, Head of the Department of Public Diplomacy of Rossotrudnichestvo.
“The organizers always hold the festival at a very high, professional level. We see which names are on the jury, we see which names were revealed as a result of the previous twelve festivals. It is very important. Look at the history of the festival, you will notice that it is these names that allow us to build the very cultural dialogue, establish the very cultural diplomacy, build the very cultural bridges that we talk about all the time. This is important to us as a federal agency, one of the tasks of which is humanitarian cooperation, promotion of the image of Russia, positive perception of Russia in the world,” she said at a press conference in TASS.
Now the organizing committee of the festival is actively accepting applications for participation. It is known that applications will be accepted until April 15, 2024.
The XIII International Festival of Fine Arts “Traditions and Modernity” will be held in Moscow from June 27 to June 30, 2024 in Gostiny Dvor.
