Vera Kiseleva, the organizer of the International Festival of Arts “Traditions and Modernity”, Ekaterina Torubarova, Head of the Public Diplomacy Department of Rossotrudnichestvo, Georgy Volkov, Deputy Chairman of the Commission on Security and Interaction with the Public Monitoring Committee of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist artist of the Russian Federation, sculptor Vladimir Surovtsev and vice-president of the Russian Academy of Arts Konstantin Khudyakov.

The last festival “Traditions and Modernity” was held in 2017. A lot has changed since then, both in the art environment and in geopolitics. The XIII Festival “Traditions and Modernity” has refocused on cooperation with new regions and countries. The core of the festival will be participants from the BRICS countries, and in general, representatives of 50-60 countries are expected to participate in the festival!

“Tradition and modernity” contributes to the construction of “cultural bridges” between countries and the development of cultural diplomacy. This was stated by the head of the Public Diplomacy Department of Rossotrudnichestvo Ekaterina Torubarova.

“The organizers always hold the festival at a very high, professional level. We see which names are in the jury, we see which names have been discovered as a result of the previous twelve festivals. This is very important. If you look at the history of the festival, you will notice that it is these names that allow us to build the cultural dialogue, the cultural diplomacy, and the cultural bridges that we talk about all the time. This is important for us as a federal agency, one of the tasks of which is humanitarian cooperation, promoting the image of Russia, a positive perception of Russia in the world,” she said at a press conference in TASS.

Now the organizing committee of the festival is actively accepting applications for participation. It is known that applications will be accepted until April 15.

The XIII International Festival of Fine Arts “Traditions and Modernity” will be held in Moscow from June 20 to 23 in Gostiny Dvor.
